Hot Buffalo Chicken Dip

daniel —Tue, 10/12/2010 - 8:56pm

1 cup ranch dressing
1 cup hot sauce (like Franks)
1 - 2 cup(s) shredded cheese ( I used aged cheddar for more taste)
1 package (8 oz) cream cheese
1 cup shredded chicken (or can)

Mix all ingredients together in bowl and heat 2 minutes in microwave stir and heat another minute.

You can alter the recipe a bit due to personal taste. I used a bit more hot sauce and 2 cups of cheese. For the chicken I bought rotisserie but the canned chicken is equally good in my opinion!

From friends at work :-)

Johnsonville Brats

daniel —Sat, 05/23/2009 - 10:40am

So this worked out really really well...

Johnsonville Brat Hot Tub
2-3 Beers
2 tablespoons butter
1 medium yellow or white onion, sliced

Put the pan right on the grill, careful not to singe your knuckle hair, pour in the beers and add the butter and onions.
Then grill your brats to a juicy, golden-brown perfection.
Serve immediately, and place any remaining brats into the steaming hot tub for later eating.

Preheating:
Simmer the links in a pan of water, or a beer and onion blend for 8 to 10 minutes prior to placing em on the grill.

Links are done when:
25 to 30 minutes
meat thermometer reads 180

What I actually did:
Had to freeze the links, cause I bought them the week before.
Started thawing a day before. Thawed by putting in a baking dish and pouring one of the big can of Fosters with some diced onions. Left it set in the fridge for a day.
Day of, heated oven to 250, replaced the beer and onion. Left in the oven for about 45 min.
Removed and put on the grill for a few minutes until meat thermometer read 180.

Shells and Cheese with a twist

daniel —Sat, 02/02/2008 - 10:51pm

I've found that those shells and cheese packages can be a bit strong on the cheese, so here's some of the best things to add to the shells and cheese while your mixing in that wonderful fake cheese :-)

Add any of the following:
1/2 can of diced tomatoes and chiles
1 lb of frozen corn (thaw it out first - not hot, warm will do)
1 or 2 bell peppers cut into bite-size pieces
Diced onion
1 or 2 chicken breasts
1 cup spinach

Yum, Blueberry cake...

daniel —Sat, 02/02/2008 - 10:44pm

Very Simple!

Ingredients:
1 box blueberry Jiffy Mix (And it's required Ingredients)
1 cup Frozen blueberries
1 package cream cheese frosting

Preheat oven according to Jiffy Mix directions
Mix Ingredients from Jiffy Mix according to directions
Once ingredients are fully mixed, stir in the cup of frozen blueberries.
Bake according to directions. Be aware that it may take slightly longer due to the blueberries. Just check every few minutes with a toothpick.

While this is baking, I've found that its best to whip the frosting a bit so that its not quite so heavy. Just dump the package in the mixer, and whip on high for five minutes.

Cool the cake a bit, and then add desired amount of frosting.

Quotes

Most software today is very much like an Egyptian pyramid with millions of bricks piled on top of each other, with no structural integrity, but just done by brute force and thousands of slaves.
